Possible I would say.. I'm sure it varies from state to state... but I think it's still going to get dinged on the title. I could be wrong, but I would think the ins. company would be required to report it in some fashion. I would check with them and see. But if not and you did all the work yourself, then it wouldn't show up even on carfax since it's not being repaired through a licensed shop that would make a report to them.

Knock on all types of wood... to this day, I've only ever totaled one vehicle in my life and that was over 25 years ago.
That being said... with the ever increasing rate of number of idiots on the roads these days... I think for most of us, it's only a matter of time. Too much distraction with fondling radios and cell phones instead of paying attention to the one thing they should be concentrating on. I don't believe in it... and I just came from a country that enforces the crap out of keeping people off their phones while driving. Huge fines and can actually lose your license for doing that alone.

First off I'm glad all involved weren't hurt.
"Now we all know every vehicle out there depreciates rather quickly it seems.... but if you had say 7-10 grand into a build and something happened... then the ins company says... per book value... here's a check for $1500 bucks (if you're lucky)... have a nice day."
$1500 IF your title is on the up and up. That's what I lost on an '85 Toyota p/u when I couldn't get the title straightened out. Too long and complicated a story but the State Police even tried to help to no avail.

If there was no police report it will never show as being involved in an accident.

Hell.. it's like staring down the business end of a 12 gauge shotgun with the safety off.
I love my Jeep.. but some days and things like that do spook me a bit with it.

If you put 10k worth of improvements into a home you may see a small return when selling, 10k into a vehicle? you might as well just toss it out the window. lol

Tore front axle apart, found a bad bearing on the pinion, and at sometime (I swapped this axle in not long ago) it was run low on oil, so the carrier bearing races was toast too.
So using shims and gears from a parts rig, I installed a Detroit Tru-Trac in the front.
Tomorrow reassemble the brakes and put wheels on and go try it out....
recorded a video of my headlights.
