Well, crap. Who's going to document any carnage then? I like seeing other people trash their stuff.

I need a break. Just finished a two-week federal inspection at work, and my YJ is still down because people are offering me parts and then backing out

I feel ya chief. The wife and I are working on launching a new IM (internet marketing) business and I've been putting in solid 18-19 hr days for ~3 mths. My eyes feel like they're going to melt. Lol!

So, what got done to the garage queen today is the same as yesterday; nothing.
I've got a $1,000.00 worth of parts staring at me and no time to do the job that I want to do...Oh well, someday. Right?

Got my PA state inspection done today. Luckily, she was under 5,000 miles this year. Emissions is not applicable. One less test to have to worry about.

So I went to Harbor Freight and bought this:

https://www.harborfreight.com/1-lite...gun-92857.html

https://www.harborfreight.com/5-lbs-...dia-60563.html

Now realize I don't have a clue and my compressor is not big to really sandblast anything. What I wanted to do is knock off any loose stuff inside the metal support for the factory running boards that I am putting on to use that Eastwood Internal Frame Coating inside. Figured I would clean, metal prep inside and out. POR 15'ing on the outside. Unfortunately can really get in there to do that. See the brake line in one of the pictures. That is my extension for my air gun. Was hoping the fitting was the same size as the sandblasting gun. But no. See if I could work something out with bigger brake line and/or a fitting but probably not today. Did try it out on a small section of the support though. Gotta say the ground glass and that gun are not bad. It did take me a second to figure out how far to screw the tube the media comes out of into the sandblasting gun. It is kind of picky about that. Couple shots to compare.

I think it depends on the county, but that may only be true for the emissions portion

If your car is 96 or newer and travels more than 5K a year. Then yes, emissions is required.

PA has a pretty draconian inspection.

Edit: oh and yes the "safety" portion of the inspection is mandatory.

I only ask because yesterday a friend of mine recommended a YouTube channel, streetspeed717. He lives in PA I guess...watched a couple vids of his bro truck and vette and he's constantly getting pulled over and says that his vehicles pass inspection just because he doesn't actually do them haha...even told a cop his vette has never been inspected. Was just wondering because I watched them last night and then read that you did an inspection in PA haha.

My offer still stands And I never backed out. You never showed up.

And yes I will take pics. Right now I just broke a rear driveshaft and the jeep behind me broke front/rear driveshafts on same rock I just came over.

In PA the emissions requirements vary greatly from county to county. Some county's emissions are as simple as a visual inspection and others require either a tailpipe test or OBD2 test. Safety inspections are required every year. I'm not sure how it works with historic or antique plates.
