What did you do to your Cherokee today?

Replaced the turn signal/combination switch. I had replaced the factory part back in February because it developed a problem where sometimes the stalk had to be jiggled to get the turn signals to work. I replaced it with an AutoZone "Duracrap" switch.
Fast-forward to today... Not even five months later the AutoZone switch has developed a problem where the turn signals would only work with the stalk in the high-beam position. So back to the store and they replaced it under the lifetime warranty. The problem is the replacement unit does not work properly either. It initially appears to work, but when the turn signal returns to neutral position you can hear the blinker relay fast-blinking but no lights. So back to the store again. They did not have another one in stock but ordered one for me.
In the meantime I put the old factory part back in which works OK aside from sometimes having to jiggle the stalk. I'm not sure if the OEM Mopar part is still available. If so I'd be inclined to just bite the bullet and buy one of those if these craptastic aftermarket parts keep failing. (Yeah, AutoZone has a lifetime warranty but I don't want to spend the rest of my lifetime replacing this thing multiple times! )

It depends on the PC but if you match the wattage of the lights I think most of the power supplies can supply ~2/3rds of the total rating to 12 v if you tie all the lines together. There should be a sticker on the side such as:

Changed the plugs to some champion Coper plugs with the correct gap, a new O2 sensor and unplugged 2 of my fans so that it ran at about 200 and passed smog!!! Then I went and bought a front bumper!

Last one I got was a 1kW from the IEEE lab free parts cabinet at the University. They're around and for cheap! Shop the garage sales, FB, Craigslist ads etc. Bet you can find a local one for dirt cheap eventually.

I have a 12V PSU I got off of Amazon for pretty cheap. Straightforward, no screwing around (AT PSUs were much easier to hotwire... **** ATX). Just one massive rail. 30A, $40. I use it to run a diesel pump and random stuff. lol

Do ya one better, the power supply for a laptop. I have a car radio running the stereo in my garage. I started with a desktop power supply. I do a lot of welding/grinding in my garage, the power supply filled with grinding dust and shorted out after a couple years. I rummaged through my wire bin (everyone has a wire bin right?) and found a lap top power supply that output 12 or 14 volts (can't remember exactly). Worked great. It's sealed and very easy to hook up. Some laptop power supplies run 16 or 18 volts, be careful to pick one that runs 12 or 14 volts.
