warm up drive for my 98, been about a week. i dont let them sit long!
took notice of gages.close as i can see its exactly the same as the 00
but engine is quieter. might think of selling 98 to help sponser a new engine when the 00 needs it.
both running great ,,today.
-Finally- got around to installing my brushguard. It was a craigslist score, but it turned out I didn't have tow hook brackets, so had to get those in first. Bumper fought me a little, but it all worked out in the end.
Finally summoned up the energy to mount my 30" tires on the factory cherokee wheels. It's been about 30 years since I mounted tires by hand and to my surprise, I can still do it. lol Stuck the completed wheels and tires back on the cherokee and admired my work. Would post a pic but I haven't mastered pic posting as of yet.
Oh, almost forgot, I pulled the busted up inner liners out from under the front fenders.

its ugly!! its lifted ,home made and fenders hacked out, came with huge mud tires? ,noisy. changed tires but had steering trbl. dont like the road handleing so i use it just on the property. it also had camo paint that is slowly washing off!!, ugly!, but runs like a top,only 129000.
if it looked like the 00 i would not have bought the 00.

Swap the drivetrains on the the two then. I'd prefer the older non precat, non 0331 head, high pinion Cherokee.
