Also if you're planning on having the tires off for any reason, throw 3 lug nuts back on, clamp some angle iron to the brake rotors and lay a tape measure or 2 over. At something like 15" out the front should be 1/8" narrower than at rear.

I like their designs, and I've had good experiences with them. But half the parts I've seen people order from them don't fit correctly. At JCR's prices, nobody should have to modify their new bumper or quarter panel armor to fit their Jeep.

Flushed the radiator and block. Changed upper and lower radiator and heater core hoses. Filled with hose water and prestone(?) flush. Drove to O'Reillys for coolant. Tomorrow I'll go to the grocery store for distilled water and I'll flush it again before I put the new thermostat in. Hopefully I can blow most of the water out with air? Then I think I'll check the flex plate... I think that might be my knocking...

I learned that JCR just went through a database change over which left them dark and that explains why my wait has been so long.
It took six days for my affordable Offroad bumper to get to my door. East to west coast that is normal for the average package. Quick for a bumper. When you're waiting on Jeep parts it seems like forever though.

JCR charged me $18 in shipping on something that fit in a envelope... Only time I've ever done business with them.

I looked at every bumper out there and kept narrowing down to the JCR. It just is better styled in my opinion. There are more angles and a more complex attempt to make the shapes work with the body.

Ares Fab is a potential for the rear bumper. They seem to have a similar design principle to JCR.

I blame graphic design school. Lol.

Ripped the Jeeps Gone Wild decal off of it. No more of that garbage on my vehicles.

I have a t-case drop in, and since I need to remove it anyways, I can always lower the trans a bit to get the top bolts out.
I think I can get an impact up there as well which should really help things tremendously (especially on the front yoke nut)

Only problem is I only have a 3" extension in 1/2", might put on the safety face mask and use one of my numerous 12" 3/8 extensions with an adapter and hope it doesn't explode. It says 20-25 ft-lbs when reinstalling those, but that top rusty nut/stud has me kind of worried

EDIT:
Also, I am deathly afraid of removing the t-case because when I did the trans, I had a LOT of issues getting them both lined up. I would much rather work on my back than have to pull the t-case out by myself. Bought a nice set of lock-ring pliers, other than that I am just worried about driveshaft length mostly

I have had my eyes AJs Offroad Armor Bumpers for a while. One of the few rear bumpers that integrates with the cut n fold mod for the rear quarter panel. I think JCR used to make a similar cut n fold bumper but I don't see it listed on the site anywhere.

You guys should check out Dirtbound Offroad's bumpers. They have cut and fold bumpers in both the premade and DIY versions. I am running their Mojave cut and fold DIY version.

I had to pull my rear driveshaft off. After going back and forth with Adams, we deemed my driveshaft is about 1.5" too short. This would explain the odd vibes I have been getting. After I got it off, I tried to compress it and it doesnt budge. Pretty sure the splines are messed up too. But the guys over at Adams are great and are going to build me another one. So looks like the Jeep will be down for a few days.

Go to the junkyard and grab a front driveshaft off a 93 zj with the 5.2. Its a perfect fit for a xj with a manual tranmission. Thats what I am currently running.

I would but I already have the Adams shaft and they are going to fix it for free. So I can wait. Mine measured 34.5" center to center. Do you know what yours ended up at?
