Found my Jeep

After getting it dug out, and finding it completely dead, I put the charger on it for several hours. Got it to fire up, so I moved it, so I could dig out it's parking place. Dug out the factory radio/tape player, which hadn't seen the light of day since 2002, and put it back in.

End rant.
Sorry no offense intended mentioning NASCAR. Worked on Asphalt and Dirt track cars a number of years and still like the sound of racing engines. I agree it ain't the same. Happy Jeepin'

^^ same here. In fact on lo beam I get side to side coverage on a two lane road including both berms.

OK, undid my stupid mistake on the bastard pack. Pulled the leaf springs back out, removed the apparent overload/helper spring. Put it all back together and WahLaaa.
3-1/4" rear lift. Perfect. Thanks fellow xj'ers. I should have paid closer attention to the details.

Happy Jeepin'

I know but the reviews on Amazon have you believing you'll have a noticeable increase in light output. Snake oil.

I think my harmonic balancer is shot. Jeep has had a persistent belt chirp ever since I changed the PS pump, and the belt is squeaking on the water pump pulley I think on the side where it routes to the harmonic balancer.

Going to check out the harmonic balancer puller tool tomorrow to see if I can get it out without pulling the radiator or having to open up the cooling system :-(

re-did my upper rad hose, changed it from 2 90* intercooler elbows to a saturn upper rubber hose, got the evap system 100% finished, tested continuity to all the trans wires from pcm to trans connector, all tested good so ill pull the pan tommorow and test the internal harness, got most of the harness loomed up, switched to a smaller less ugly air filter and freed up some space, will likely be used up by an air compressor.

I feel like a slacker because today all I did was to drill holes along the rear edge of the plastic bumper and screw it down to the new header panel.

(the metal bumper underneath the plastic bumper has what appears to be a chain-towing kink in it - so the plastic bumper won't quite go back far enough to mate up the push-pin holes with each other)

I also removed the bungie cords that had been holding the plastic bumper on and then screwed on the chrome plastic grille.

Not much to show for a whole Sunday gone by. <g>

Epic, thanks for the intel.

Might try and change it out tomorrow if that is the case
