Put my Eagle Scout plate on my jeep. Also charged the a/c and put a temp sensor on it. Then since the viscous clutch on my tcase is messed up i took the front drive shaft out so that its at least driveable.

Default 98 Beach Car

Just started this project. Its a 98 Grand Cherokee 4.0Lt. My plan is to lift it just enough to get 31" tires on. Still not sure about the min i can lift it so as to not have to change out drive shafts ect and still fit the tires.. Working on getting the lug nuts off to get at the rotors and pads, squirting therm with Koil every day, some loosened up and came of today so that is progress. BTW Nauset Beach on Cape Cod is my target.

Make sure you clean the studs and the lug nuts very well once they're off. The last thing you want is to have penetrating oil where friction is holding on your wheels.

Seriously, im considering doing this to the MJ. Just a simple turndown by the rear bumper. I dont like how close the shackle and spring are to the pipe now.

I had a turndown on my MJ, and it was awful. The sound resonated into the can at all RPMs. You have a different powertrain, but it's something to consider.

As in all the way out back or dumped at the axle? I have a full exhaust so mine would be all the way out back. As it sits now, at that 90 degree bend out back, it sits about 1" from my shackle and leaf spring bushing.
My engine doesnt really start making noise until she reaches 4k+ at cruising speed she sits around 3-3700.

Mine was before the axle, so that may be different

Ok. Guess I'm going to try it and see. In other news, ordered a dimmer to wire into my headlights. Got the idea from a friend who did this to his Black Mambas to tone it down around town. Thinking the Putco harness also causes mine to be brighter as another MJ with the same lights, aren't as bright as mine and I was able to adjust his far easier.

If the beam pattern is correct, and it has appropriate cutoff, I don't see why this would be necessary. Explain?

It seems as if his has a far easier pattern to see, I'm guessing its because of a lower output of his wiring. I'm no electrical expert, so don't k ow how to explain it. If someone else might have an idea why, I'm open to listen why.
