That really isn't needed with LED headlights. With such low amp draw, the wires no longer choke the current. This prevents the loss of brightness and the dangerous heat buildup that plague the OEM configuration. That said, a new harness may benefit him, depending on what's causing his problem.

Could the delay module be closing the circuit? The lows come on when the truck is off and the delay module sounds like a "locus trapped inside the dash" it vibrates, ect. Then stops and lows cut off insync.

When I switched over to Hella E Codes and the Putco harness I lost my DLR lights. Occasionally they will come on while driving, but most of the time they don't and all I can hear is the Putco relay buzzing because it isn't getting enough power to kick it over.
I know DLRs and your low beams are different problems, but the buzzing relay makes it sound like low power to the relay. Check the voltage and amp draw from the Truck Lites low beam and the specs on the relay for the module.

Thats what my original thought was. Idk. Im frinking stump. Ive thought about it some much everything is a blur. As for the DRLs they stay on. Theres no problem with the DRLs.
About a month ago I installed the Bushwacker flat fender flares. I immediately noticed that my tires no longer filled my fenders and I wasn't satisfied with the look. Over the past two weeks I installed my JCR tire carrier bumper that's been sitting in my garage for months, installed a JRC front winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 synthetic line winch, and upgraded from BFG AT 33x10.50x15 to MTZ 35x12.50x15's. I'm pretty happy with my build right now. I'm re-gearing to 4.88 tomorrow.

Yep, no death wobble though. Left yesterday shortly after to run down to Wilkes-Barre P.A. to drop of 2 door doors and stopped at Centralia again on the way home today don't mind the rot. This 97s been neglected a bit and the unibody is toast in quite a few spots but it took all the off camber and rocks like a champ. All my doors still open and close right just now got in the house with a little over 194k
Finally put in cup holders in the back for the kids - got sick of seeing them try to eat and hold their cups while going between hockey rinks. $35 bucks well spent. Swapped in the center console arm rest/top from a 93-98(?) Grand Cherokee. A little bit of drilling, a little bit of grinding, a little bit of - um maybe skip that verb - equals happier kids. Goes with the ZJ head rests for the back seat - hmmm - maybe I am slowling building a Grand Cherokee as opposed to making a XJ a little bit better?
Replaced the oil filter adapter o-rings, talk about petrified plastic. Changed the oil, oil filter, dist. Cap and rotor, and the spark plug wires. Then gave it a degrease bathe, but grease lasts forever.

Installed a Hurst shifter from Core-Shifters. I can't believe how much of an impact this makes on driving. Shifts are short, crisp but weighty in a way that makes me feel like I'm actually moving cogs around by hand. The stock ax15 shifter is okay but too soft and vague.
Finished this stage of the suspension refurbish. New;
Upper and lower control arms
Shocks
Drag link rod end
Track bar
Steering stabilizer
Sway bar bushings
2" puck n shackle kit
Long day, but we'll worth it. Improved stance, she looks like a jeep should now. And she doesn't ride all loosey goosey, MUCH more sure footed and stable feeling.
Duuuuude! I want one of those so bad but can't really afford the luxury, last I checked they were around $250
How much better is it compared to the stock XJ shifter? Can you use the front cup-holder for anything other than soda cans, or spare change??
It definitely was a big gift to myself but it's worth it. I can rev match as easily if not easier than my Honda and driving is more fun.
I would call it a pretty big improvement compared to the stock shifter. Gear changes do feel heavier but I guess that's a result of the shorter throws and less bushing.
Cup holder wise, there have been no issues.
Oh, and Bilstien's are on the way! PAC Springs are next.
