My friend decided he needed a new vehicle after his 03 impala started giving him problems. He started looking over my Cherokee, decided he liked the simplicity of it, and wanted me to find him one. Well the local car lot had this one on the lot and I alerted him to it. Well I went to the lot, gave it a drive, and gave it a quick look over. I immediately told him to get the cash and buy it up. He got the cash and the next day we went over there to find a guy with his 16 year old son low balling the dealer. We walked over, my friend looked at the jeep, pulled out the asking price in $100.00 bills, looked at the salesman and said ill take it. The salesman immediatly walked over to my friend and we went inside. The dad and his son stood there with their mouth open in shock. The dad yelled "we were working on a deal" and the salesman said "he has the asking price.........sorry". We arrived just in time and the look on their faces was priceless. I almost thought the kid was gonna cry. Lol

Its a 2000 with 45,000 actual miles (same color as mine), and is rustfree. We are rustproofing it for the winters to try and keep it as mint as possible. Its gonna be a great mall crawler for his family.

Seen plenty end year low mileage XJs go for 10k plus lately, bet there was a big difference, especially at a dealer.

Well they were asking $7500 but he traded in the 03 impala with 90,000 (engine had a bad miss, trans was screwed up before the miss, needed exhaust, damaged front bumper and hood) they gave him $2500 for the heap of crap. He was either going to pay for it in full on the spot but he wanted to see if they might of wanted the impala so he didn't have to deal with it. He was very relieved they took it on trade but he was ready to pick it up no matter what.
