I have been trying to decode my VIN. I used a chart to try this but none of the charts mention an R in the 5th position, here is what they list.
5th position= Transmission/Transfer Case
L = 5=Speed Manual Floor Shift (Part Time 4WD)
X = 4-Speed Manual Floor Shift (Part Time 4WD)
B = Auto Floor Shift (Part Time 4WD)
C = Auto Floor Shift (Full Time 4WD)
E = Auto Column Shift (Part Time 4WD)
J = Auto Column Shift (Full Time 4WD)
A = Auto Column Shift (2WD)

Does any one else see an "R" in there?
Neither do I.
So I'm trying to figure out what the "R" stands for. Anyone got any clues or ideas?
I do know that I have 4WD and 4 speed auto.

R 4 speed Auto, Floor shift.. 4wd with part time transfer case
