Used NAPA Gold 1515 Oil Filter Cut Open (Video)
I have cut a few open in the past, but was curious about the NAPA gold. Here is the video if you're curious as well.

I can tell by the cut that he did not use a filter cutter on it. But did a decent job with what he used for it anyway.
He did miss the point of cutting open a filter as he didn't remove the metal ends on the roll and then rolling it out for inspection in detail of all contents that were trapped in the filter. But I applaud him in that he did try and next time he will know how to do it correctly and to look for in the filter. It can tell you what areas of your engine are wearing just by the kinds of materials in the filter.

Don't feel bad most do not. I have been cutting them open for 50 yrs and the last 25 2 of the NAPA NASCAR Racing Filters on my race cars every week. Its a good thing that NAPA was a sponsor for me a lot of years for oil and filters 10 qts. of Mobil 1 every week also if no problems 8 qt. pan, 2 remote filters.
