To trade my 96 2dr for a 97+ 4dr or not?
#1
Sup guys, I've been thinking bout trading my 2dr XJ for a 97+ 4dr...
Think I should or just keep my 2dr and build it up?
My XJ is very clean interior and exterior wise, has a 3" RC series II lift and 3" BFG MTs. Rest is stock. Has no leaks, AC works, heater, 4x4 all in great condition. Has no dash lights on. Nor an inch of rust! Bought it from an old man who never took it off road or did a single mod to it. It was 100% unmolested. Has 130k miles. I added lift and tires... What you guys think? Think I can get someone to trade me?
I have a set of 15x8" cragars and a roof rack I have yet to put on.

what is the want for a trade? just to get a 4dr or something different? That is a nice looking rig that sounds like is in good condition and looks sharp. I would tend to keep what I know is in good condition myself rather than step into untested waters, unless the itch for a 4dr is what you want/need.

I'm thinking bout keeping it, reason I want a 4 door is we jus hand a baby and I want to take her with me every once in a while. To put a car seat in a 2dr is a pain in the ***. Might just keep it and continue with the hassle. I want a clean 4x4 97+ 4dr. Love the looks of the newer XJs.

I know the feeling I have two car seats in the back seat of my 2 door.
Your XJ is CLEAN!!! I bet you could get someone to trade you, especially for a clean sporty 2 door. But if not you could probably sell yours and get a decent amount.

I've tried selling it once and only got crappy offers. Everyone only wants to pay dirt for these Jeeps, won't get another clean one for what I've been offered..

If its just u ur wife and the baby, maybe when you want to take them take the passenger seat out and that way she can sit with the baby and it's not a huge pain for them. Plus it's just four bolts.
