A friend of mine bought a 98xj for parts, so I went over to check it out. After looking at it carefully we decided to build a trail rig out of it and have it done for a club ride a week away. Alot of long nights but we got it done and made the ride saturday. He had the 35's and wheels and I had just scored some parts on a pick-n-pull run, the jeep already had a 3 inch RC on it and I had some used shocks, 2in pucks and some s10 leafs. All we bought from the parts store was 2 cans of undercoating and one headlight bezel.

Na, it's done. It is what it is, we welded up the 8.25 and now it's time to just play with it and have fun. Fix and repeat...

There just factory 96 and older xj flares. I just swap the front one's right to left, trim them to fit and screw them on with sheet metal screws. On the back I cut to the door, weld it all back together, cut the flare at the door and hang it on there. Some cut off wheels, welder and flares and you can run 33's no lift. Here's a pic of one I just done that's running 31's no lift.
