I used to have a stock XJ with 235s on them. Honestly I never noticed a difference at all. They were wrangler all seasons I think from Goodyear I believe. Did pretty well in the snow that's only things I really remember. Gas Milage didn't change all that much for me

I'm a bit confused you say in your setup that you have 16" tires not the stock 15's is that correct about what you are asking? If it is then you would have a difference between the two.

235 is the tread width in millimeters. The width however does affect diameter as the sidewall is a percentage of the width, given the same profile number.
E.g. 235/75-15. The sidewall is 75% of the tread width. This link will let you quickly calculate different tire sizes. https://tiresize.com/calculator/ That said 235s will have only a slight affect on milage, power and speedometer readings versus the original 215s. |
