Talking Tires make the difference in snow

I live in randallstown Md & this 2nd storm has dropped another 16" so far. We just got done clearing driveway down to blacktop yesterday. Its about 100' down a 30 ° hill that dumps onto Rt 26 & now has 16" of snow on once again. My neighbor Sue drives a 2004 Wrangler TJ with small stock tires. We both left this mornin to go to stores she got back 1st & was stuck at the bottom of driveway. So I asked if she would pull out to Rt 26 see if we can atleast get both Jeeps off a snow emergency Rt. My 98 XJ with P235/75 R15 Sumitomo A/T tires drove all the way up driveway draggin bumpers threw the snow even made it to my parkin spot. Sue hits the driveway runin & stops at the bottom again tires spinin. I walked down shoveled enough to get her away from plow truck range & she couldn't believe I made it up. I had a smile ear to ear & told her tires. That's the 2nd time on our property my $1000 XJ has had to help out her nice new TJ. I think I'm gonna give her 1 of my Quadratec catalogs tell her to pick out tires & I'll call up Morris 4x4 center & get'em ordered.

Sumitomo makes a great A/T tire IMO. I have them on Assateague beach in summer & winter no problems. I have had them in a pretty deep mud hole about 6"-8" of mud haven't let me down yet.

absolutely ove their catalogs. honestly, their isn't a day were i don't look at one of their catalogs or go to their website. speaking of, i want to order one of the LubeLocker gaskets for my rear axle (8.25) since i need to drain and refill the gear lube anyways. i have one of them on my Dana30, and makes the job so much better than having to deal with silicon tube goop.
