My cousin tried to to his windows himself. $80 later he gave up. and a few months later took it to a place to do it for 150 (he didnt like the bubbles that kept showing up, or messed up trying to apply the tint)

he might be easier to put on though if you take the door panel off.

I tried it on my last jeep and it came out really bad. One air bubble and your screwed. I would say its definitely worth the money to take it to a place and have it done professionally. I would hold off until you get the money to have it done. Just my 2 cents.

use lots of soapy water in a spray bottle and soak the window before you set the tint, and start squeegeeing from the center out.
if you can't get a bubble out, just poke it with a pin and squeegee the air out the hole.
peel only half the backing off the tint, till you get the upper half set.
with the soapy water between the window and the tint, you can slide the tint around the window to line it up, then start squeegeeing to set it.

you can use either a bank card, or a proper set of squeegees. i have used a plastic squeegee with a felt tip to get the most out, then a rubber one with use of the soapy water so the rubber doesn't scratch the tint, just to get the rest of the air out.

start with a door window with the window down a bit to do the upper half, then with a blade, trim around the top of the window about 1/8 inch so it won't peel when you roll the window up.

it's easier than you think, just need lots of patience.

Id pay the extra for a shop to do it before id use walmart tint. Walmart tint is cheap made and any ive ever seen has a mirror look to it. A tinting shop has good quality tint that is black and too, theres a big diffrence in visibility out of good tint compared to cheap tint, being the good tint is alot easier to see out of, especially at night.

You can buy pre-cut tint online from places like ebay. I cant speak on the quality but must be as good or better than walmart stuff. Cutting is one of the hardest parts. Use plenty of soapy water and then just squeegee it good. This is a job of patience so if you choose to try it be prepared for a full day of work. oh yea... make sure you do it in a shaded location, direct sunlight will dry it too quick.

thanks everyone for all the tips!!
helped alot

so i just got the 5% fade protected stuff from walmart and after 25 bucks i got the 2 rear sides and the hatch glass

sides look awesome it was alot easier then i thought but the rear with the heated strips i couldnt avoid air and its got some bad bubbles that im hoping dry a little smaller but it still looks good

i was just going to say go to a junkyard and pull factory tinted ones out and throw them in yours but okay. The stickers go blue after a while and are a ***** if you ever have to replace or fix them
