Howdy from Montana!! I have a 97 jeep cherokee sport 4.0. I put in a new motor,flexplate,converter,starter just recently. Even befor all of this new stuff i put in, whenever i am accelerating i hear a ticking noise rpm sensitive, and when i am coasting no matter how fast i am going the ticking stops. I cant get it to do it in park, neutral, in 4 or out of 4. I am a jeep freak and worked on alot of them and never heard this ticking. About 5 times louder or so then an injector. Has anyone else around this site had or heard of this problem? I need to get my jeep ready before winter hits. Thanks.
