To those that have componant speakers
Anyone running component speakers off your high powered deck without an external amp? Is it sufficient power, do they sound good?
If I select a component speaker with high sensitivity the deck would would be enough to make it sound good, am I right?
Is it worth the upgrade, sound wise, when you went from full range speakers to component?

Components will be a major improvement; amp or not. But, running off the deck does not compare to powering from an amp. I'm sure you knew that, I'm just sayin'. As long as you use a high sensitivity component system, they will sound great off the deck, they would just sound that much better coming off an amp.
I am currently running components all around off of my deck (aftermarket), couldn't be more than happy w/ the improvement; The bass/treble and mids and nice and crisp. I will, however, throw in an amp eventually. But, I'm pretty content with it so far.
