im thinking of taking off the XJ doors today just for the fun of it, to find a way to take the speakers outa the doors and put them somewhere in the jeep so i have speakers while the doors are off.

when i had my wranglers i of course did it all the time since they were made to come off, and never had any problems with the police....but im just wondering if any of you have had problems with police with taking off your XJ DOORS since they werent actually designed to do that

Make sure you have mirrors. Some states require them

im not to worried about that...in ohio as far as i know all you need is one of the 3 mirrors and ill have the interior one....

ive went with the doors off the wranglers for years with no outside mirrors and never had a problem so i should be ok

yeah in cali (i know its alot different here )all you have to have is a driver side mirror rear view mirror and seat belts and its legit i called the local chp before i took mine off just to double check you might just wanna give them a call ??
