Default suspension go stock or 2" lift

I need to completely redo my suspension just wondering your thoughts should I stay stock or do a two in suspension lift since I wanna go higher eventually. It is my dd and I have a 100 mile round trip drive to work what's your thoughts. Since I worked nights and and just got home I am going to sleep now.

Oh p.s. its a 95 xj sport 2.5 4cyl manual trans 4x4 completely stock (except speakers) teal (if you care) and if you work at an auto parts store it the regular Cherokee not the grand.

Always go with a lift over no lift.

At best your springs and leafs are 13 years and sagging to some degree. Might as well replace them and since a 2" lift is all leaf and spring height you might as well upgrade while you're at it. Get 2" OME leafs for the rear and some coils or spacers for the front. You'll get more ride height, better visibility, better ride quality, and it's much easier to jump up to 3-4" from 2" full packs than it is a ****ty budget boost or AAL kit. There's not a lot of reason not to do a quality 2" lift if you can afford it, just stay away from 2" shackles. They'll just kill your stock leaf packs quicker.

They will because of the leverage. This is my bastard pack which is made out of two sets of stock xj leafs. I run a cut down main leaf to help support the main leaf in the pack. The third leaf would technically be the second in a stock setup and its pretty far forward.

I didn't say shackles kill leafs, I said 2" lift shackles will kill your stock leafs. They will sit at almost 90 degrees and put tons of pressure on the leafs and kill ride quality.

Mine took less than 3 months to settle back to stock height because of the stress put on them. Even relocated I've still lost height in my stock packs.

Rear OME springs, bushings, and ubolts will run you around $300-350. Front depends if you wanna do spacers or coils, at 2" it doesn't really matter. Imo stay away from the budget boost kits.

Look online at Zone and Rough Country, maybe catch an off season sale.
