stuck in 4 wheel drive
Im new to this forum , and im fairly new to the jeep world ( I`ve had many 4x4 s-10s ) I bought a 93 cherokee sport about a year ago and i gotta say , im hooked .
This thing will go through just about anything you can throw at it , far more that any of my s-10s would have made it through.
My question is this , I have never had my cherokee in 4 lo before , i was playing around in the snow while taking my daughter to school thismorning and i tried to put it in 4 low and the shifter seemed to be stuck .
Me being as smart as i am grabbed it with both hands and yanked wiyh everything i had.
I got it into 4 low and it works great , now i cant get it back into 2wd , the shifter goes into the 2wd spot but it is still in 4 wheel high ,
Did i break or bend something and is there anything i can do to easily fix it.

Oh man, that is something I would do too! Glad to know I'm not the only one that would do something like that!
As far as an idea....nope...sorry no clue

have you tried shifting to reverse and backing up 50 or 60 feet then slowly putting it in drive?
A lot of times that frees up the T-Case, I have to do that to mine after being in 4wd for a long time.
If that doesn't work, there might be a problem with the shift linkage.

If you're in 4 low, you usually have to shift into neutral(gearbox, not 4wd). Try shifting into neutral, and the 2wd. See if that helps any. If not, i think something might be messed up, as i have never driven a 4wd that goes into 4Lo without having the gearbox in neutral first.
