steering box frame rail!

What is the best way to biff it up on a 97 xj. Had a 96 sport and the frame rail ended up cracking on me!

Plate that shizzzz! Crok brace too will work. I'm always a fan of welding plate to it though

X2. I got the JCR ones. Mine was cracked pretty bad in multiple places. I stop drilled and repaired the cracks then did my own plating back near the track bar bracket where those don't reach to. I was going to do it all myself but wasn't really worth the time and materials when they sell both sides that cheap. I'd suggest welding them in. Get the plate that goes behind the box as well.

That's great guys. I've got a 97 now and just want to do some before it wants to crack so... but thanks alot I've got so good ideas and I will wait to see some pics.

i had mine done by staangs fab. they did an awesome job. it's drilled, sleeved and welded in with stitch welds and plug welds.
i can't believe the difference it made. now feels like i have a steering booster.
