Where should I have the pipes come out from?

I have a side exit on mine it comes out right befor the pass tire and the very first day I took it wheeling I destroyed off rocks and logs that and they are insanely loud and annoying

If your talking about a side dump, don't worry about frank. Just ignore him.

Just angle them out right before your rear tire. I've seen a couple rigs here that had it done. If done correctly it can look really nice, and its a hell of a lot better than just dumping it under the truck. I wanna do a NASCAR style like this on mine.

I am looking at exiting between spring and body behind rear tire. I'll attempt that one of these days and let you know. Magnaflow actually shows the same setup. But no availability yet.

I was thinking about haveing them come out right in front Of the mounts for The leaf springs... but as far as a cadelidic converter do I go new manifold with dual exhaust and 2 cads or stock manifold annd go from single pipe cadelidic then ito 2 pipes?

What you are talking about is re-routing the TAILPIPE.

The tailpipe should be left were it is for safety reasons...your safety and that of your passengers. The tailpipe should terminate behind the vehicle. This is basic Autoshop 101 stuff.

If you want dual exhaust, get a dual exhaust muffler and run the pipes out the back of the rig.

Where he wants it to come out it shouldn't be a problem at all and as long as it comes out from under the vehicle just pass inspection. I have mine at the same spot and only time I smell exhaust is on a windy day with the windows down

Its a Grand but still has dual side exit pipes. No exhaust smell in cab and I have no AC so I run with windows open all summer long.

I'd like to do the same basic thing, only just a passanger side dump. Not duals.

The only time I can see fumes being a prob is if im at a dead stop with all the windows down

Ya know, I've seen rigs that have their exhaust dumped actually UNDER the truck. I can't imagine that being good, I would think this style would be much better/safer.

Mine is a side dump just like that zj, it is just to get me by till I bought all new stuff. I don't think fumes are an issue really but it is fun to see people look at it like it is weird on a jeep.
