Should I buy a $1200 2000 Cherokee?
Theres a seller with a 2000 Cherokee Sport for $1200. I've seen many other Jeeps for around 3k that have all of the mods I want
For Example: - 3.5in RC Lift - 32in tires w/ wheels - RC front winch bumper with stinger - Tow hitch - Fender Flares - Roof Rack I know there's a lot here, but should I get this $1200 Cherokee and build it myself or save up more for a pre-built one? Thanks for the response! |

Go look at it OP, if it runs you could buy it as a woods Jeep and just thrash it. |

I got my good running, but a bit rusty XJ for $1500 earlier this year. I would say it depends on the XJ. I would trust mine to get me wherever I need it to go, and It has served off and on as my DD for the 45-mile round trip to/from work 5 days a week for the 6 mos I've owned it. Off and on because I bought it as a restoration project, but my wife's car died, so there were full months where it got me to work every day.
Mine was listed for $1800 at a junkyard, where the guy has a habit of buying 8 or 9 of them, building 2 or 3 good enough to sell and working from that. I talked him down to $1500 including temp plate and taxes. Haven't regretted my $1500 Jeep a day since I got it. But i don't know anything about heavy duty off roading and it's extra demands on structural integrity, since that wasn't my plan. |
