I am very close to pulling the trigger on one of these, I understand they are designed more for the street and have limited abilities for off road as a crossover (ie.. breadcrumbs) but I am curious about those of you who actually have one and how pleased/disapointed you are with it.
any feedback, positive or negative, is much apreciated!

I have a Garmin GPS that I use all the time for long trips or unfamiliar places. It works great for onroad stuff, provided you're not doing a bunch of driving with tall buildings (skyscrapers - used it in Chicago and it was a bit confused). The only negative I can think of is that after you have it a year it will prompt you to update the maps every month, which I believe costs extra. You can still use the old ones, but they might not be current. Also, mine doesn't leave a trail if you go offroad, but that might just be my model, I have one of the earliest ones. Overall, I love mine and definitely recommend it!
