rocky roads opinion on long arms
from http://www.rocky-road.com/cherokee-control-arm-drop.html
"On another subject... We do get alot of folks asking about "long-arm" kits. Our response is that these systems work OK if your one and only focus is a trail vehicle. If safety isn't much of an issue, if highway control and stability are not important, then the long-arm kits may be for you. While they do look impressive parked on a flex ramp or posing in a magazine ad, these kits do not allow your suspension to cycle up and down in the manner in which it was designed. So they can ride a bit spooky at highway speeds."
opinions? are they just talking out their asses trying to sell their product? oorrr

Total bull excrement! Long arms offer a better ride and control on and off the road. If they were dangerous Ford wouldn't be using a long radius arm suspension on their Superduty trucks.

...they must have never passed 6th grade math...
The geometry of long arms is a huge improvement over short arms travel ability, and not to mention the smaller change of angle for travel, so basically more flex and a smoother ride.

No vehicle is as safe after it's been lifted long arm or not so slow down. RRO has been around for awhile (somehow so many negative reviews) so if they wanted I'm sure they would have long arm by now. I'd really like to see what they read or saw that's making them stick to there guns.

kinda sad that an established company would rather dog a better (more expensive) option than simply provide information on how drop brackets help CA angles and can be a decent alternative at a lower cost.
kinda makes me sick reading some of their "information"
if what you want is to build a trailered trail-rig and not necessarily an all-around performer... yes, a long-arm kit may be for you. We won't sell them though since we'd never run them on our own Jeeps.... we will stick with a proper Control Arm Drop system for our Jeeps...
Misinformation is perhaps the most common item found on the internet today. -- RRO

sickening indeed. hope no one buys from them. ever

The installation of larger size tires lowered the Static Stability Factor (SSF) and increased the calculated CG height of the test vehicle. The four-star SSF rating with 29-inch tires in the as-built configuration reduced to a single star rating with 38-inch tires. The change in rating increased the risk of rollover from 10 and 20 percent in the as-built state to more than 40 percent with 38-inch tires

I have one of their adjustable track bars on my XJ..........(I didn't buy it directly from them) I bought it new, second-hand from someone who bought it, and never installed it. (they only had a 2" lift, so it was too long)
It is a pretty solid piece, however the "Tie Rod End" was shot after nearly 2 years of service....................Luckily it uses a common automotive tie rod end (I think it is from a Crown-Vic?), so it is easily replaced..............I bought an extra one for a spare.............They are cheap.
