rock sliders

im working on some homemade rock sliders. no picks yet. i am using square tubing from an overhead gaurd , on a forklift. they are supposed to hold up to 8000 lbs. got enough to make some for my buddies tracker too. also just ordered my new tires today.:clover:

if your using the uprights off of a 6-8000 cap forklift...they are not rated at a capacity load inpact..only partial inpact....and most of the upright supports are only .120 wall at best...and fold like a taco even in a slight "flop". I would recomend using something a little heavier.

Agreed, the metal your using was rated as a whole. After you cut it up and start fabing its lost all its rating. If your cutting up a forklift then maybe try using the forks. Those would make a nice set of rock slides.
