the gear is fine and there are 2 notches by my thumb and my index is that where the stock went? if so what could it be i am stumped now......

so i cleaned it up and it is not working meaning next step is rebuilding the transfer case or get a new one... this does not surprise me at all tho...

are you sure its pushed all the way in?
Have you tried a new or different sensor?

so i thought about it and i decided that i am going to go over to the junkyard and just pick up another one i found the rebuild kit with all the stuff i need and it is 749 so... i am just going to pick one up from the junk yard

just curious how you know its still good?
Did you try spinning it with a drill and see if it moves on the dash?
