Not a fan of the clarity, at all, but it's a cool pic before we loaded up to head home this evening.

Not mine, but I ran across a couple of nice rigs online. My son works at Sheetz (a regional gas station chain), and I was looking for a decent Sheetz picture to use for his logo in my phone's address book. Found that Sheetz had an Instagram campaign going. Now, I cannot fathom being so infatuated with a GAS STATION that I would post pics of "my favorite gas station" on social media, but I realize that there are a lot of empty heads out there these days. So I checked it out looking for a suitable shot to use, and found a couple of nice Jeeps. A beautiful red Comanche, and a really, really yellow Cherokee owned by some guy who calls himself ... I dunno..... Bleeping.... something or other.....

The tags on the Comanche indicate that it is a stick.

Here are a few gas station pics for you. Petro-Canada used a white Cherokee in its advertising for a while last winter. I think they were trying to say that if you wash your car it will last longer. I first saw it when I stopped in for gas with my Comanche.

Later that day I went back for gas in my Cherokee … even though it didn't need much!

I had an unlimited car wash subscription thingie when I lived in upstate New York. Not sure how Canada does it, but New York uses half the world's salt supply each winter and these things rust if they just see a crystal. I washed it probably once a week. I definitely think it helped.
So happy it doesn't have to go through that crap anymore. In my republic, there would be no snow plows or salt - just people with snow tires and 4WD.

LOL. I think Canada, Ontario actually uses the other half! I love driving my Jeeps in the snow … the salt not so much. I only drive my MJ a bit (it's 2WD) but I do drive the above XJ almost without hesitation. I also have a LJ and it's my main winter driver. Each one gets spayed annually at Krown Rustproofing and I spray them myself as I work on them. I replaced the driver's side torque box on my LJ (not a fun job) plus the front floor board this past summer. I'm a firm believer in molded floor mats (Husky, Weathertech, etc.). With flat mats in the winter the carpets never dry out and the floors rust from the inside out.

Constantly chasing down rust is a job no doubt about it. I like to think it makes us better welders. Not better than any one else, just better than we would otherwise be.

The last good snow storm in my Jeep. Plowing the road with the axles! Tires were stock size Cooper WeatherMasters with studs.
