I've seen a few but I'd like to see more because I want a lift real soon but I can't afford bigger tires yet.

Thanks

here are a couple pics of my first xj with that set up...

Day i bought it 3" lift, 235/75/15 flares on

3" lift, 235/75/15 no flares

flexing a bit

I thought I had a pic of the same setup but with cut and folded flares, but I don't.. I only have pics of the fenders cut and folded with..

31s (mine is the 1 on the right)

and 33s

hope it helps, and i say do it, it looks fine and you have room for flexing too

Thanks for the pictures. Now I gotta ask, how do y'all think a 3" lift & 235's look?

I definitely am getting a lift but now I am stuck with the dilemma of 2" or 3". I think I am going to go with the 3" so I can get 31's for my next round of tires but that will be in like 18 months.

I guess I am just concerned with people thinking a 3" and 235's looks goofy.

It's your rig. Do what you think looks good. Don't worry too much about what other people think.

if your 235s are street tires it looks a little funny, but i say do it, and go with the 3"

My tires are Wild Country. They're pretty aggressive.

When I did my 3" lift I couldn't afford new tires so I wheeled it with 235's for about two years. I didn't care a whole lot for the look but it flexed well and got me where I needed to go. Nothing wrong with it, it was all I could afford and I weeled it a ton with my super amazing Wrangler Radials, lol.

Here it is not too long after the lift with 235's

Here it is after paint, same tires.

Here it is with 215's yeah it looked funny. I had them on there because those were the wheels I wanted the new tires to go on, so I threw them on there and drove to the local Firestone to have the new ones put on

And here she is with the new meats. Once I got the 31's I was happy if only for the looks it gives the Jeep. BTW, I would recomend any size of the Firestone Destination A/T's truely a great on/off road tire. Not the greatest in the mud but great at everything else, especially good in the rain!
