Exclamation Painting Parts of My XJ

i would like to paint the bottom of my doors and around the entire truck. i would like to use like hurculiner or something along those lines. does anyone have any idea how to prep the truck or how to do that?

just use the directions on the can, i believe you have to scuff the paint pretty good and clean it off and paint it on

I would sand it, clean it, prime it then paint it.

are you talking about the herculiner goop you roll on or the spray on bedliner. im not a fan of the bedliner spray stuff. that stuff ends up being like a flat black application. if you want a good cover-up and will protect for years go with the roll on herculiner, just follow the directions on the can and youre golden.

run a piece of tape above your stopping point for the liner, sand the area with 80-180, wipe it all down with windex(works great because of the ammonia) or get some grease and wax remover, mask off where you dont want the stuff to go, and apply. do you have access to compressed air?
