Flat black fades very quickly, so if you where to want to touch it up down the road. It will stick out like a sore thumb. Flat black primer attracts moisture over time. Not to mention it is the most light absorbing color. In other words it will rise the inside ambient temperature. If you live in a sunny climate, this might not be very handy. (Then I would use flat white)

I rattle canned my 79 CJ and it has held up pretty well.
I just did my ZJ and for that I bought a gun from Harbor Freight for $15.
It depends on how concerned you are with it. If you don't mind a 15 ft paint job, just rattle can it. It will cost a lot less and you can use the money on other mods.

Any flat paint. If your going to paint it black, use gloss paint. And a coat of clear. It will look a lot better. then there is the door/hatch jams. Along with under the hood. You don't like the orginal color in your profile photos? I do! Also should you ever want to sell it. Do you think that will help or hurt possible resale!

As with any paint job, you don't just apply the paint and be done with it - if you want it to look right, you need to wet sand it.
You could even do the whole $100 Rustoleum paint job. You buy some rustoleum paint, roll it on with a roller, wet sand it and polish it (if desired) and there you go, a good looking paint job.
It's getting to be a popular job for people who aren't looking for show room quality paint. It's easy and cheap. Look it up on Google.

I just painted my undercoating the other day with a 70 psi gun and a 3 gallon 1hp compressor, and that stuff is thick! Too bad you don't live close by, I'd lend it to you.

I do like the color i'm in the air about painting it or not ... My original idea was to keep it forest green and do a hulk theme inside and out ... this is my first car was a gift from an uncle its staying with me forever too much sentimental value haha

Thanks ..It was dark blue...I used a military paint I found online...it was a little more but it was worth it..it comes out thick and drys nice...I did not do any clear over top the two coats I put on so mudd sticks to it..just water wont get it off but I always just power spray it and call it a day...
