Anyone watch this show on discovery channel? I just started it and it looks great!!! I know it's a jeep wrangle but it's still a jeep! And from the commercials it seems like it goes to hell and back and survives :tank:

What show? Anyways, I like Wranglers. I did see an ad for Top Gear where they take smart cars off road. That looked pretty funny.

I watched to trailer for this show online and it looks kinda lame. IMHO.

It was ok.

I watched the premiere last night. Wasted one hour of my life.

First, I have no issue with a Wrangler... The Wrangler itself did well.

That was the most irritating show I've ever seen.

All the fat asian dude did was complain about wanting steak and the other dude did nothing but yell STOP! STOP! STOP! at the Asian dude for driving 40mph thru the rain forest and into a damn swamp...multiple times. 80% of the show was them winching thru mudholes and the other 20% consisted of cooking fish over the fire.

How this show is good for offroad enthusiast, I'm not sure. The show was about nothing other than busting thru the forest with a machete and a Jeep... I'll give it 2 weeks before Viromentalists are all over the place.

There was about 10 seconds of technical advice that involved teaching you how to turn your Jeep into a submarine... because everyone carries around Vasoline and latex gloves...

I'm not sure I get the point of the show... I get a much better thrill watching personal youtube wheeling videos.

Review: Lame as hell.

Edit:

Oh yeah. It's not a CAR, it's a ****ing JEEP!

i dont think i would have been going over 10 mph unless i was on a road out there it is all fake s@@@ but funny to watch them try and find a way through the river but they were on somewhat of a trail for the most part

They would not stop calling the Jeep a "car", that bothered me. The driver was a wimpy little wuss that did not like gettting dirty. I'll give the show another chance, but it won't take up any room on my DVR.

I didn't think it was too bad.

Watched ten minutes of it the other day,its a joke

Just found this out on their facebook page....."Jeep didn't sponser the show until after it was filmed so we could not call it a Jeep." This being about why they kept calling the jeep a car.

DirtRoadXJ 08-20-2012 11:48 PM

i thought it was dumb. stupid fat dude driving and brit dude who did all the work. Asian dude was lazy and just complained about everything.

Not going to watch again.

cherokeelaredo'90 08-21-2012 12:32 AM

After watching it I agree with what most people have said. The asian guy kept talking about food the whole time and that was bother some. And when they crashed into the swamp and were trying to winch themselves out I thought it was funny that the narrator guy said that the jeep was being pushed to it's breaking point... It wasn't that stuck in the swamp so I wasn't buying it. Plus it's a jeep. They don't break, they just rest.
It would be epic if the jeep was on full widths and 40" tires. That thing would DESTROY the jungle hahah.
I'm probably going to end up watching it again mainly due to the fact that it's a show about offroading (sort of) and they do it in a jeep.
