Thinking about doing this in my briarwood xj. I want to maintain my classic woody style so I'm not really looking to build a crazy xj. More along the lines giving my DD more of an aggressive look.

Could any of guys post your pics/ opinions of this lift? Thanks

I am running OMD 1.5" HD setup this is how mine looks with 235/75/15 it will fit 31's but I need to change the lower control arms. Personally OME is my favorite lift company.

It's the best choice on the market, A little pricey though.

30's are going to be better on gas and fit better with little to no trimming. Your on the right track with OME, been rocking my stuff for 6+ years and sit's and rides just a good as the day I put it on, I keep a bin with supplies in the back at all times, ~40lbs, and it smoothes out the ride.

I ran my cherokee on 3" lift and 32's without removing the flares or trimming anywhere. worked out nicely. This is what I did to it when I first bought my jeep.

Thanks for all the input guys. I will most likely end up getting 30's. I know I could maybe pull off 32's but I think I'll get plenty of tranformation with the 2.5 lift and 30's replacing my current 225's.

Yea I would go with 30s but treadwright doesn't make the tire I want in 30s only in 31s.

I visited this thread multiple times over the past few months while making my decision on lift and then tires. Even though this thread is ancient, I figured I’d place my final product, since I know that I’d benefit from it if it were me again!

OME 2.5 inch lift
30in BFG ko2
15x8 quadratec Baja Extreme II (4in backspacing)

this kit came from DPG Dirk who’s as great as you’ve probably already heard that he is. The kit came with 2 isolators I believe. When the back went on way higher than expected (with one leaf removed per the instructions), I took an isolator out and put a small puck in. It’s ALMOST level now, maybe .5 up in the front. But I’m still happy with the results. Hope this helps a newbie like me in the midst of the forum vortex deciding on what to do!

What did the rear lift end up being, above stock and with the leaf removed?
