NEW! (Used) Rims..very excited!!!!
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...b5260691c.jpeg I decided to look for a better set of Stk. XJ wheels for my 96.. And found these 99 stk. wheels from my local junkyard..$30.00 a rim/tire...All four. Except I almost lost out on them because I had to go back to the yard the next day and someone almost got them before me! Good thing they couldn’t get the wheel lock off!👍🏻 https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...3e998e0263.png Stk, 96 wheels.. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...e8e4c55bc.jpeg 99 Stk. XJ wheels...Set of 4 I |
What you labeled as stock 96 wheels are "Grizzly" style Jeep wheels and were typically factory wheels for Wranglers. I don't believe they were ever offered on XJs from the factory. The ones you found are "Ecco" style Jeep wheels and were most closely associated with XJs that had the aluminum wheel upgrade. They are my personal favorites (Eccos), but because I couldn't find a good set of them where I'm at, I eventually put Grizzlies on my XJ as my 2nd choice. I've come to like them a lot. There is a retailer that manufactures Grizzly replicas, so I went with those to avoid any problems with used wheels. Only a XJ die-hard would know or point out that they are not at home on the XJ. Mostly, I just get compliments.
