new to the jeeps

Hey evey one, I am new to the land of jeeps. Allwes have been a fan of them. So now its time for me to get one. I live in michigan and I am looking at a 2000 cherokee right now. Can any one help me out and give me some things that I should keep a eye for and far as rust, rot and so on gos??? Thanks
