Default Need some recommendations on ‘99 Cherokee

Hi everyone new to the forums and new the Cherokees. I’ve always wanted an XJ just to tool around with and maybe modify in the future.

I have two options that I am currently considering.

First, one is a 1999 Cherokee SE. it has 162K on it. Pretty clean all around. A little crack on the driver seat trim.

Relatively rust free looking. 4x4, Thule roof racks, tow hitch, newer tires. $4,000.

Second is a 1999 Sport with 72K miles. Driver’s seat is rough but other than that it looks clean. Tan interior.

Recent Maintenance Includes Tune Up with New Plugs, Caps, Rotors and Wires; New Valve Cover Gasket; New Power Steering Line; New Exhaust and Oil Change! BF Goodrich Tires! Headliner is Intact! Body is Solid! Very Clean Inside and Out with Just Some Wear on the Driver's Seat

Price on this one is $4500.

None of my attached photos seemed to show up for some reason.

Here are the photos from vehicle one.

Appreciate any feedback you guys could provide on either of these. I am really liking he 72K Miles on the second one. These are about the cleanest ones I can find locally. Everything else seems to be rust buckets or chopped up for off road use.
Good price, bad price, stay the heck away from both? Just trying to get feedback. Not in a huge rush but definitely will pull the trigger for the right deal.
Thanks in advance!

Apologies for the pics. I am working from my laptop and it's not the most advanced piece of equipment.

It probably isn't your laptop, the pic uploader is wonky right now. Here's a link to the proper method for uploading pics...

personally u can’t go wrong with either. In Maine a clean 99 with 72k would go for 8 grand in less than 24 hours cuzz everything is rusty up here. my 99 sport I bought 8 years ago with 162k. built it, beat it, daily drivin it to 340k, just now parking it this week. Still runs and drives. so mileage wise both are low. I would choose the one u like better. like, the one that is more comfortable, cleaner interior/exterior etc. also keep in mind the 72k one is a better value, and seats aren’t hard to replace or re upholster.
