Well I picked up my 2001 Cherokee sport today and its rehabilitation begins. I bought it from a guy who was getting deployed to Afghanistan. It runs great but need alot of work. I need to replace the master cylinder, drivers door, hood (dinged and scratched to death), fix the roof (he set heavy stuff on the skin,tires, maybe a t case (old owner ran 225/70/15 front and rear 31x15), exhaust, pair of passenger flares (owner spray painted ones and used wood screws to hold them on) good buff and some paintless dent repair, good interior clean, and tons of little things. The good its 99% rustfree (rare in this state), runs super nice, pretty low miles (145,xxx), and that it was $1,500. I'm excited to dig into this truck and make a awesome winter battler. So what have you had to do to rehabilitate your Cherokee into what you wanted?

I lost the pics unfortunatly but my first XJ was given to me by a friend who ran it into the ground. Needed a new alternator, full service, and front end. It was a salvaged title already rebuilt once and i built it up again the second time. It served me well for almost 3, hauling trailers back and forth from FL to NY. I bought another 99 xj a few months back that just needed to be brought up to date on maintenance.

Theres are great vehicles and bringing them back to theor former glory is really rewarding. Dont let anyone tell you its not worth it to do something if you feel you want to do it.
