Ian Douglas Get a wrangler and you won't ever have that problem and you can get way cooler aftermarket stuff

Chris Thayer I wouldnt be caught dead owning a Wrongler. And XJ's have just as much cool stuff thank you.

Ian Douglas Obviously not I refer you back to our bumper conversation plus everything is cooler with no top on (especially

this time of year)

Chris Thayer I do remember you saying and I quote, "Well that's what they make grinders, welders, and new metal for."

Chris Thayer Plus I hate convertibles dude.

Ian Douglas I did but if you had a wrangler you wouldn't have to apply that statement to something a simple as a bumper
56 minutes ago · Like

Chris Thayer Ya but I already have a bumper that I like that is just as good as the one your talking about. Plus, I dont have to apply that statement to make my wheelbase longer either, because its already at the perfect wheelbase
30 minutes ago · Like

Ian Douglas Well sir just remember that just cause you drive something that says jeep on it doesn't make it a real jeep and the respect is still reserved for us wrangler guys
22 minutes ago · Like

Chris Thayer Respect from who other Wrongler rolling tents. See you know Im right. So now you have to bring up the Jeep hierarchy, which was made up by a bunch of guys with rolling tents so it really doesnt count anyways that TJ's are higher on the list than XJ's.

Chris Thayer REAL JEEPS HAVE SQUARE HEADLIGHTS!!!
15 minutes ago · Like

Ian Douglas **** I'm pretty sure that you and I both know that the square headlight jeeps are just the bastard child of the brand there like the ugly baby that the parents keep locked away so the reel jeeps don't laugh at them
13 minutes ago · Like

Chris Thayer Maybe but they're the perfect bastar child. Perfect wheelbase, plenty of room, plenty durable, and plenty capable, and I'm pretty sure we both know that.

best way to end the conversation is to point out that his suspension is modeled after yours

when i go out on a trail, i don't wanna decide whether to take the cooler or the toolbox. i like being able to take both, and two passengers, and my dog and still have room for lawn chairs. try that in a TJ. besides, TJ is just a buggy with a windshield. if i wanted a buggy, i'd build one, not spend my money on an expensive project buggy potential.

pretty queer.

I don't really care what a real jeep is or isn't. I just know my xj is actually useful.

Ask him how much he got his TJ for and compare to how much you got your XJ for. I know I got my 98 XJ for 400 bucks and it will do anything a TJ will except it can carry more things while doing it. You spend 10+ grand on a TJ, and you have the same front axle, steering, suspension, transfercase, motor, etc, That the XJ does that you bought for 1000 bucks. Tell him that and see what he says. Hes just mad because he overpaid so he has to compensate with a snappy attitude. Does he drive a monster truck too? Maybe theres more compensation going on then were think

There's something that wrangler people dont understand there wouldn't be a wrangler without the Cherokee back in the 80s amc needed to replace the cj AMC being broke at the time couldn't afford to develop a whole new car so what they did was cherry pick all of the suspension drive train and engine components from the Cherokee so the XJ saved your beloved wrangler and there are these losers hating on them you know who you are all those people who dont know anything about cars that say its a jeep thing all the time
