Mounting xj Front bumper
 

I am trying to mount my front bumper and I'm looking for ideas on how to do it.

Have you thought of using bolts?

Bolt it on...
Maybe I don't understand your question...?

It's a bumper... just line it up, put bolts through uni-body, and tighten down with ny-lock nuts.

String cheese, use fresh string cheese to mount your bumper.

Keep the bracket that mounts to the frame attached to the frame. As long as that's there, you can install the bumper yourself. All you have to do is hang the top lip of the bumper over the bracket and put in the top bolts. Keep them loose until you get the rest of the bolts in.

I made the mistake of using string cheese that was a few days old... never again will I make that mistake

I still haven't mounted my bumper because I always eat the string cheese before I get out to the garage.

Yup and never use it if you park where there are mice around, it can be hazardous to their health when all consumed from bumper.

But at least the mice won't chew on your wiring and vacuum hoses.

Sneak up on it from behind, wrap your arms around it, then your legs. You just mounted your bumper. LMAO
