Looking For Info On Aftermarket Parts Manuf ... OMIX-ADA ???
Looking at some replacement parts and I noticed that OMIX-ADA is a little pricier compared to others.
Thinking you get what you pay for would indicate OMIX-ADA might be a bit better.
I am talking about body panels like fenders, rocker panels and the like.
Any info .... good or bad?
Thanks

Well they do have a better warranty ...
3 years for theirs versus 1 year on the others.
Not sure how relevant that is, I mean if they are as good as OEM parts, the OEM parts lasted much longer.
But alas, I am looking at a rocker panel replacement in the future, doing fenders tomorrow and found a mess of rust up into the rockers.
Not sure how I want to go about replacing them .... OEM style or some more custom robust configuration.

Well the issue I have is rust, on the lower portion of both front fenders and it has infected the rocker panels.
Cutting into it there seems to two or three layers of steel.
Like there is an outer and in inner rocker panel running from the fender under the doors all the way back.
The rust has eaten through the rockers but NOT through into the frame beyond the rockers.
It is as if I cut away all of the rockers I can totally eliminate the rust.
Replace the rockers and fenders and it will be as good as new.
However there is a dealing ' for now'.
All I need to do is close up the rust hole and replace the fender with a junkyard fender.
Even the JY fenders have a bit of rust so I had to clean them up.
That's just to get it inspected.
However next spring I would like to tear into it and do the job correctly because I know if I do not do it the right way, any band aids I put in it now will only fall off somewhere down the road.
So there you have it .... long term project.
New Rockers and Fenders.
