At long last..
EDIT:: I bought it! $1000 plus $180 tow. gonna figure out reg and fees on monday.. but I feel comfortable at that price. he was asking $1200
my old xj burned down in August of 2011 and I was devastated. It's been a long 6 months
the skinny
1993. bare bones stock base model. starts right up and drives smooth
inline 6 high output. 4hi 4low automatic (a little bummed that I'm not getting the ax-15)
but thats ok because whattttt 118,000 original miles! not a spec of rust! (except rims)
extra details
the guy inherited it when his mom passed. she just drove it around a small town in central cal from the time it was new off the lot.
clean engine. needs paint and the door broke off the hinges. pretty bad paint ox. dent in driver fender. missing passenger turn signal. squealing from engine might be the serp or a bearing. didnt pass vap but passed smog. non op clean title. needs tires but I have a spare set of five in the garage. headliners torn up. no major electrical or mechanical problems.
dad recommended the tow because of non-op and bad tires. runs great
you can tell the PO was a woman
floor mats...
I tossed my old rattle black wheels on there and called it a day
I hope to start a build thread as soon as I do some real upgrades
