Lifting and trimming correctly

Buying a 8 inch touch country lift for my jeep and was wondering how much I'm going to have to trim to fit 37s on it

Depends on the width of the tire, width and backspacing of the wheels, and how much you bumpstop it. Only way to know for sure is to bolt the tires and wheels on, and go from there. 8" is a massive lift though, I wouldn't think you'd have to do much trimming, if any. I'd personally rather lift it less and trim more, lower center of gravity is much more practical.

Just curious, what axles are you planning on running with the 37's?

And fwiw, I've only got 1.5" of lift, 33's (currently on stock wheels), and only a minor cut and fold on the fenders for clearance. Once I finish extending my bumpstops, my tires won't rub at all until I swap to my 15x8's with 3.75" backspacing. When I swap wheels, I'm going to need just a little more trimming up front, to make up for the tires sticking out more, but still, my fenders won't really be trimmed too much. That's why I say you shouldn't need much, if any trimming. But, with that said, nobody can really just tell you how much to trim over the internet. Its more of a trial and error kinda thing in my experience.

Rough Country only makes up to a 6.5 inch lift.

Are you mixing parts?

37s won't fit in the stock wheel wells at all and won't fit the rear unless you comp cut. I'm assuming that won't be an issue though because you probably aren't going to wheel it.

What are you doing about steering?

What axles do you have?
Stock axles won't handle 37s...

Fwiw I run 4.5 inches of lift and 35" MTZs.. Cut n fold in the rear..decent bit of cutting up front
