Tires Tires Tires
So i have the money to get new tires...I am undoubtedly going with the BFG KM2s.
I am going with 33's, just trimmed up fenders today.
The thing i wanna know is what width to go with, 12.50 or 10.50. Ive done my research on all the threads here and im leaning towards 10.50s
But how about living in colorado where mud is scarce? I like rocks alot and wider tires are better for em. How about mpgs and highway use?
any help appreciated!

4" RC right now. 1" coil spacers and 1.5" shackles soon though. I dont know about backspacing probably around 4 inches or so

with a 12.5 wide tire you're adding more unsprung weight and therefore gonna have more rolling resistance so your mpg's will go down so you'd have to weigh that against the added grip in the rocks

You don't want to run a 10" wide tire on a 10" wide wheel. Go with the 12.50's especially if you ever plan on airing down. If you really cared about MPG's all that much, you wouldn't be daily driving an XJ on 33's. So don't let that be a factor.

Good point on mpgs. I joke around saying i get 40 meters to the gallon as it is. Why would it be bad rolling a 10.50 with 10" wide wheel?
