Swapped to an open cooling system and deleted the A/C hoses but gutted the compressor and kept the housing/pulley as an idler pulley since it's hard to find an A/C delete idler pulley for RENIX era motors. Doing both things really freed up a good amount of engine bay space. The cover on the battery is there because I have a hood vent directly over the battery and wanted a cover for it.
This is my Jeep (original owner) 88 XJ, 300,000 plus miles, 2 door, 5spd, 4x4 with 3" tough country lift with 31" tires. This also has the rocking style seats for both driver and passenger seats. My wife's Jeep- 96 auto sport. I replaced the mechanical fan to electric fans. Also the factory air box is going to be added back in and running a short connection from the box to the opening that is located behind the headlight to ensure cooler air is entering the airbox.
