Year: 1989 Laredo
Model: Cherokee
Engine: 4.0 L 6 Renix
Default Grey in the Gills, Peep

Of the family fleet, this one is completely mine (nobody else will drive it?), well the dog loves to ride along.
3.5 inch Franken lift on 31's. Full home fab floors, rock rails, roof rack with silverstar lighting, fogs, vents, armoured diffs, stainless used frequently in the fabs, and multiple basic component replacements over the years. Original drive train of D30, D35 non clip, 4.0L, AW4, supported by trans cooler. Maintenace, all the time and on schedule, fluids, bearings, seals, etc, and regular oil/filter for the Renix.
Still goin daily, 735757 Km and counting. When I hit the million I expect Chrysler to pony up with a fresh one, ha, sure, when dogs fly, lolololol.
Currently needs another freshening on the body panels. I have a couple spare XJ's for parts and I have a plan.
Another door set, converting with PMEngineering stainless moljinir armor panels (my evening home fab again) for the doors and quarters. Will incorporate tube and plate fender flares and fresh front and rear bumpers (and that 12K winch sittin on the shelf). As with all Peep projects, it's going to take a while. Check back with me next year.
I expect to have the fresh armor in place as she rolls 800.
In the interim keepin an eye out to pick up drive train replacements, it all won't last forever.
Till then, enjoy your daily XJ!

I do not see a roof rack did you remove it or did it ever have one on it? Funny how that jumped out at me like that, don't know why guess because the XJ looks so clean and retail red.

My DD. recently added snorkel. (Almost not really worth it)
Just swapped dash last night, got rid of the big gas Guage and got the red and white gushes. Way way better, definitely recommend if you have the big gas and speedometer Guage. Brand new ngk copper plugs, Napa Belden wires, brass rotor and cap, Spectre air filter.
33x12.50 Mickey Thompson Baha MTZ (love them) 3 1/2 budget boost life with 6 1/2 shocks. Putting together a 4.5" lift now. 3:55 gears. Removable doors--> (love/hate deal...)
Plans: 4.5" lift, lockers front/rear 5.0 stang injectors, 4:56 gears & stroked (still looking into.) Love this damn jeep.

Mine next to a bunch of other DDs. My XJ, Father's JK, GrandFather's TJ, Friends FJ. It has been my DD for about 8 years except when I break something.

Mine rides great! I also have a stock XJ for when mine breaks down and there is not much difference between the two on-road except for my 99 is louder and much more fun to drive around. Stock gets about 24MPG, 99 gets about 19.

Suspension: IRO 6.5" LA (RE leafsprings/coils) Bilstein 5125s, IRO Track bar w/flex joints, JKS Quicker disconnects, Daystar extended bumpstops

Front Axle: Dana 30, 4.88s, IRO Truss/Gussets/Sleeves, Custom control arm Sleeves, Riddler cover, Alloy USA ball joints

Engine: Golen 4.6l stroker, AFE Headers, 24lb Accel Injectors, Accel Coil, Spectre Cowl Intake, BrownDog mounts/brackets, 3" exhaust, FlowMaster 44, Gorlich Spun Cat, AC Delete, 62mm TB, KoolerMaster water pump, Hesco hi-flow T-stat housing, custom made/welded on oil pan skid, Champion Aluminum Radiator. Everything was pretty much replaced with the stroker (Hoses etc.)

Transmission: AW4 with Torqo Industries HD torque convertor,
Transfer Case: NP231 with Advanced Adapters SYE. Tom Woods Driveshafts front/rear

Exterior: JCR Offroad Front bumper/sliders, Gen-right hood vents, Smittybuilt XRC Rear tire carrier bumper, TNT Customs upper/lower frame stiffeners, CB antenna, Black Mamba LED headlights, LED fog lights, Tomken Gas tank Skid, Winch quick plugs front/rear, Pro-Comp rims, 315x75x16 DurratracsX5, Rusty's flexable flares, lots of stickers.

Interior: Double din deck, ZJ seats, herculiner/microballoon interior, Custom built cargo rack, Rustys roll bar, CB, 6.5" speakers in the doors, window tint, Rock **** shifter levers,
