What is the last AMC badging Jeep Cherokee? I was at the JY and seen some MJs and XJ that had the AMC logo on the catalyst sticker of 1988- 1992. "Jeep Corporation" My 1991 Cherokee has AMC and few Pentastar logos on it. Only my glass windows and tail lights have the Pentastar etched on them and the rest has A M C, such as all interior, front header panel with lights, Jeep Eagle parts under the hood, Jeep Corporation catalyst sticker with this next to lettering http://www.purpleized.com/AMX/MainMenu.htm Only its black and white.


Also on the new 2014+ Cherokees do they use the Pentastar / Chrysler logo or Fiat logo on the catalyst sticker?

my 89 had the amc logo on the keys. my 90 has GM on them.

as far as i know, chrysler had their hands on jeep since 87 but didn't fully take them till 91 when they switched their keys with the black plastic chrysler keys.

My 86 had AMC everywhere, until I debadged it of course. Too much crap on the gate. My keys still do have AMC. The seat belt buckles should but haven't looked at those lately.

I heard that GM "General Motors" was involved with AMC and some Jeeps had GM stuff and some didnt. I didnt see any GM on mine. I think 1992 was probably the last AMC to be on Jeeps. It usualy takes about 4-5 years after a take over to be 100% the other companys, 1987 was when the buy out took place. For example, I worked with IBM PCs, IBM sold their PC devision to Lenovo China in 2005, another PC company. IBM still sold and supported their PCs for 5 years and still came with IBM branding on them, after the 4th year Lenovo branding was appearing on the PCs, and next year making 100% Lenovo with no IBM name anywhere on products.

I've seen GM parts, Chrysler and Ford on them. All Makes Combined.

My 88 has AMC on it. My 90 has a Chrysler logo.

that's right. my 90 has the chrysler logo under the hood but still had the gm keys, then 91 had chrysler keys and the 4.0 H.O.
everything else appeared to be the same mostly till 97 when chrysler made the noticeable changes.

makes sense cause the CJ was done in 86 and the YJ came out in 87
