Just Installed 4.10 Gears (Pics)
Hey guys, So I recently posted a thread about a loud whining in the rear well turns out it was the pinion bearing ( actually the bearings were laying in the bottom of the differential haha ) so after weighing the options I decided to swap the whole rear end. I had 3.07 gearing so I talk to the guy at the junkyard they had the rear end for 187 bucks drum to drum a deal right!!! Well I get there and half of the brakes wear gone and no drums so I pissed now ya know. Well I look down and it had 4.10 stamped on it and the guy trys to jew me up to 600 and after negotiating I got it for the original price heres some pics of the install it took us about 3 hours for the whole thing. Enjoy!!!!

a) did you swap out the front too?
b) did you verify that it actually DOES have 4.10s. i wouldnt just go off of a stamp c) this isnt tech...moved to chat |
didnt swap the front yet I just really needed the rear end and i figured while i had it out might as well swap gearing too, yes i counted teeth
