This is my stock 94 XJ. Can anyone tell me where to start and give me pointers on some good products. And also tell me what not to get. Looking at lifts, tires, winches, roof rack, and bumpers

Focus on the running gear first. If it's in good order then see what it can do as a stocker before you start making changes, you might be surprised (I know I was).

Edit: also, what is it you want to do with your XJ? Trail ride, mud, rocks?

So then 3.5" -4" lift, 33" tires, winch, recovery points...sound about right?

As for a place to start maybe try the COTM threads and look at the build sheets and see the way those XJ's are built/look for ideas.

Yea that's where I was looking to go with my jeep: about a 4 in lift with 33's but I was just gonna ask around first. What type of lift do you recommend?

I do trail riding mostly and as such I don't really need my xj lifted. I think from this point on it's pretty much about cost and your choice in stickers.

Moving to Chat since there isn't anything being built here.

Feel free to start a build thread once you start the work. Thanks.

Another question for the OP, can you weld? I've seen a lot of roof racks you can buy but a lot of folks here on CF have made their own and I would much rather have one of those. Just my .02 cents (adjusted for inflation naturally).

Edit: if you can't weld, maybe something like this? https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/ho...welding-91566/
