Default Jeep imposters.

Just curious what vehicles you consider to be Jeep wannabes/imposters.

Land Rover
Hummer
Four Runner

Any others. I have a friend who works at a shop that makes decals for all kinds of things and I could probably get something made up.

Considering making my own Jeep window sticker that says something like

"Jeep - Accept no substitute"

(below that)

Hummer Land Rover

etc etc etc.

Just trying to get other ideas because right now I am at work, dead tired from being up all night and my brain feels fried.

If I do get something like this made up Ill be sure to post it up.

Although maybe I shouldn't. I might never get pulled out of the sand if I get stuck lol.

Thanks for any imput

Hasn't Land Rover been around since the late 40's?

Seems like a british tradition, Just as Jeep is the american tradition.

I wouldnt really call it a imposter or wannabe.... maybe.... Competition!!

Funny thing. I didn't even know they made 2wd Jeep nor did I know they made anything other than the I6 engine/I6 HO for them until I started really wanting a Jeep and looking around at different ones.

It didnt really shock me that there were other engines but finding out they made a 2wd model kind of surprised me.

You can't really call a hollow tube a Dana 30, since there is no differential.

Yeah, I am quickly finding out why people are obsessed with Jeeps. I have driven a variety of vehicles over the years, mainly because of need over want. I drove what I could afford at the time. Well aside from the one time I went to a dealer and got my Dodge Intrepid for like 12k. I couldn't really afford that and it broke about a month after the warranty ran out then I quit paying for it and it got repod lol.

Anyway I am really loving owning a Jeep and can understand now why people are so into them. Hopefully from here on in everything will be a Jeep for me.

Personally I use to like a LOT of different "SUV's" Blazer, Tahoe, even kind of liked the Isuzu Trooper......Then I sat in my Jeep....and I feel like there is nothing else needed in the SUV world lol.

It's not too big, not too small has enough features but not too many. Looks good on and off road.
